Positive psychologist Vanessa King and writer-teacher Elise Valmorbida have teamed up to develop unique new workshops connecting the science of wellbeing with the practice of creative writing—a hit with literary festivals, corporate training and community-building organisations.
“For writers and not-yet-writers, we bring together the practice of creative writing with the applied science of positive psychology. Together we explore resilience, imagination, empathy, observation and focus. As a workshop participant, you explore how to engage your senses, free the mind, connect experience with words, access deeper levels of creativity and write with authenticity. You can have it both ways: apply the science of wellbeing to improve your creative writing, and/or let the practice of creative writing enhance your wellbeing.”
